CENOTAPH 2025

The Belgian Cenotaph Parade is an annual event in London, typically held on the Saturday preceding Belgian National Day (21 July). In 2025, this places the parade on Saturday, 19 July 2025.

This unique tradition, established in 1934, honours the valour of Belgian soldiers, particularly under King Albert I during World War I. Belgium holds the distinction of being the only non-Commonwealth nation permitted to parade its armed and uniformed soldiers through London.

The parade commences at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, proceeding through Horse Guards Parade to the Guards Memorial. It features approximately 300 soldiers from the Belgian Land and Marine Components and is attended by dignitaries, military personnel, and veterans from both Belgium and the United Kingdom.
